Boise, ID, June 20, 1999 - The 12-time World Champion, Olympic Gold Medallist, Hour
Record Holder and winningest cyclist with over 575 career victories, Jeannie
Longo-Ciprelli (Ebly), thoroughly dominated a strong international field throughout the
12-day,
13-stage HP LaserJet Women's Challenge, winning by 3 minutes and 41 seconds over her
nearest competitor, American Mari
Holden (HP Toner). Longo-Ciprelli, with the help of her powerful Ebly teammates, took
control of the race in stage two, never
relinquishing the blue Race Leader's jersey over the remaining 11 stages.
